Franklin Advanced Materials has completed its c‐Si metallization paste manufacturing expansion this summer.

The facility is located on its Pottstown PA campus adjacent to its Photovoltaic R&D center and claims that it is one of the largest on the East Coast. This location is about 40 miles west of Philadelphia, close to major shipping ports and airports.

This climate controlled facility is large enough to house enough production capacity to meet expected demand till 2016.

Silver contact pastes and BSF aluminum paste production areas have been segregated to prevent cross contamination as well as provide unique process facilities.

State of the art high volume paste mixing and milling equipment has also been installed to minimize labor costs and ensure batch to batch consistency.

Cellular manufacturing layout has been employed to ensure lean manufacturing methods and product scalability.
